Headquartered in Washington D.C., as a DJ, Simon has been spotted in publications such as URB, BPM, Mixer, Bigshot, Parade, K48, Music Monthly, Fashion Wire Daily, Skrufff, Ministry of Sound Radio and The Village Voice and he has performed at many premiere venues across the Americas & parts of Europe. As a recording engineer, he has served some very successful artists and record labels, including Grammy winning and Grammy nominated dance music producers.
Starting his way from the ground up, Simon started working as a street rep for Ovum Recordings, Moonshine & Mixer Magazine. In 1999 he was picked up by his first agency and began to bud a healthy Dj schedule.
Drawing a never ending inspiration from House, Techno, Italo and New Wave, Simon became noted as one of the pioneers of Electroclash. His small 'Sleaze' event's in Washington which focused on the movement exploded with national notoriety & in 2003 he caught the ear of Rave Icon's Scott Henry & John Tab, gaining residency at America's most legendary club night, Buzz.
Simon was also the host of 'Redux', the only nationally broadcast radio show focusing on 'Electroclash' on XM Radio's 'The Move' (nominated for Dance Star awards in 2004 & 2005). Residents included Tommie Sunshine, Larry Tee, John B & DJ Unknown. Every week for nearly 5 years over 350,000 people tuned in to hear their futuristic retro funk and interviews.
Electroclash was declared by The Guardian one of the two most significant upheavals in recent dance music history, and while the term for the movement has faded, the musical influences it brought to the table have not, rather they have spread across everything you hear today under an assortment of new aliases.
Simon continues to push a very diverse yet very distinct sound, incorporating any number of genres to create his own. His studio work and impeccable 3 turntable sets are always packed with fresh thoughts for forward thinkers and future classics.
